Irish People Try Giant Water Bugs

Giant water bugs used to be all over the place when I lived in Florida for about a month out of the year. I would leave the grocery store and hear them zooming around like helicopters.

I doubt anyone will actually see this. But for the lucky couple of you who do, here's a fun story about those gigantic water bugs. I used to work at a convenient store that had a swamp behind it. In that swamp, lived those bugs. There were super rare, but they were back there. And they are fucking huge. A much bigger bug than most people are used to. So one night I'm holding the door open and having a cigarette like always, and I see one of these giant sons of bitches flying right at me. I kind of duck off to the side, and it swoops passed. Right into the store. Fuck.


There was a Honeydew Donuts inside this convenient store, and this was like 3am in the morning so in two hours the poor girl who opens the store is going to come in and if I don't find this enormous fucking bug she is going to have a genuine heart attack if she's the one who does. So I go looking. I'm looking all over the place, and this Godzilla sized motherfucker is nowhere to be found. So I give up and start heading back toward the door to finish my smoke. And right then, I feel something crawl right up the back of my fucking neck. Given the time of summer and where we were, 99% of the time it's just one of those little June bug beetles. So I reach back there, assuming it's just going to be a little beetle, and what I touch is literally as long as my four fingers are together. It's an entire fucking handful of Godzilla. And I freak the fuck out. I grab this son of a bitch, throw him down, and stomp on him. And wouldn't you know... they are basically made of armor. You have to put ALL of your fucking force and body weight into crushing those sons of bitches. They're damn near indestructible. It took me a solid minute to kill the motherfucker. Oh and, fun fact, they have a bite that is so painful it is charted in the top 10 most painful insect bites a human being can suffer. It isn't medically significant, as there's no venom or anything, but it hurts and burns for hours nonstop. Thankfully I didn't get bitten. But it was still a nightmare that I will never forget.

Now I want to see them react to a live water bug when it's rattling it's front legs at them and chasing them lol

Those "giant worms" are meal worms. They have alot of protein. Ciara is more logical than emotional. Hence why she can power thru so many things.. Unless its linds chocolate.. that brings out the emotional side.

I have actually eaten (and enjoyed) crickets, scorpion and silkworms. They're not bad if prepared correctly. My line is absolutely water bugs and roaches. I will not eat that Sam-I-Am.
