screen is 90hz or 120hz?

The layout of the keyboard is weird but you may get used to it if it is your only laptop. Overall good!!

Just having the ports on the back of the laptop is what sold it for me. That is something I never knew I wanted in laptops.

I have this laptop. I love it. The only things that I dislike are the battery life, and the screen easily moves around when typing. I still love it though, even though carrying the charging brick everywhere is a must.

i found the same Lenovo 740 with RTX 2080 and with 15 inch, also the same specs with 17 inches i found but 300 euros more costs , i also dont care alot about the screen size sinc i have a Montor for it , would the size of the laptop affect the performance of the laptop in this case ?

Here in Malaysia, this y740 i7 8gen RTX2060 price about 1600 usd. With this price and its good professional looking & build quality, i think this laptop very suit to me (33 years), for my work+gaming. Hope other company will follow this design and not forget to mention, good pricing not crazy high like Zephyrus & thin Msi.

How to turn on fans for this lap

Haven't seen anyone talk about this at all in their Y740 review, but it's something to consider. When you have headphones plugged in and the fans are running at max speed, at lower volumes you can hear a low humming noise quite audibly in the background. I think because it's related to the fans there's nothing you can do about it unforunately. Otherwise, it's a fantastic laptop.

I just watched your video on the 730. I noticed that Lenovo isn’t selling it on their site anymore, but it’s just now at a good price point for my right now. The 740 is about $300 more. Do you think I would be losing out on getting the 730 right now, as opposed to the 740? TIA!

Max Q cards are downclocked massively slower gpus, the 2070 Max is really like a 1660TI laptop non Max Q the max is for thin laptops so they nerfed the shit out of it.

How to formate it??

I just got this laptop with the 1660ti graphic card, but I could not find G-sync on NViDIA Control Panel, I did a research and turned out that alots people having the same issue that their laptops dont have g-sync as advertised, I'm contacting lenovo for more info, isanyone having the same prolem as we have? Really wish they had a number pad and a texture hand rest area instead of the metal. Otherwise this would be great for us.

Almost perfect laptop. My only complaint is the lack of a numpad. The laptop is gigantic enough that they could've fit one. The old 15" Y580 had one; why can't a 17" from the same company have one?
