  • I've reviewed the MacBook Pro every year but Apple finally admits to a problem on their keyboards that has persisted for 4 years. I hope the 2019 MacBook Pro redesign fixes this issue.

                  My keys getting failed one by one.

                  Recently when I was writing an email to my manager in hindi which included :

                  Koisse mojey bohutt late 9 pm

                  By that time my O, E, J, H, L keys were gone. So I lost my job right when he received the email.

                      I think the root of the problem isn't Apple, it's their customers, Apple know they are unhappy, but they also know that they will continue buying their products , if you were in charge of Apple and knew that there were millions of iSheep queueing up day and night to buy your products, would YOU spend more money repairing faults like these ?

                                          Frankly the best apple keyboard I’ve ever used was the one that came with the iMac 2005 model. It was well made, had solid buttons, truly enjoyable typing experience while enjoying a neat look (white keys on a clear body). Sadly it seized to work after 10+ years. I’m not a fan of the keyboard the laptops come with nowadays. My MacBook Air (mid 2013 model) has very delicate keys. A book fell on the keyboard a few months ago (a soft cover book at that) and the up arrow key completely broke in half and even damaged the clip underneath the key. Everything works but it’s annoying seeing that key missing. It happened in December and I still can’t get used to it. Also while on topic on how overly delicate these laptops are, about a year after I bought the laptop, I left it closed on my work desk for about 30 minutes. When I got back to my desk, I saw that my coworker had served me coffee and left my mug on top of the apple logo (dumb dumb move). When I opened my screen, I saw a circular rim area in the middle of the screen that’s slightly brighter than the rest of the screen. The weight of the mug had made the screen burn in!!! I’ve never been able to fix it. I figured it would cost too much to fix the screen and now even the key. Next Mac I buy will probably not be a laptop.

                                                                          I haven't had any keyboard issues (yet), but I'm very disappointed by my £3000+ 15" MacBook Pro. Flimsy lid, noisy fans and regular crashing make me regret buying it.

I've a 15 inch MacBook Pro from 2013 that's dying a slow death. Too bad they don't make 'em like they used to.....

                                                                                              Unfortunate is the wrong word to use, Dave. I appreciate you being so harsh about how they're dealing with how they're applying the fix. Apple's constantly ignoring the problem in order to save money by not fixing a design that was bad to start with. That's not unfortunate, that is negligence at best and consumer hostile at worst.
